Radiological and Clinical Significance of Emergency Computerized Tomographic Examination


Abstract
The retrospective evaluation of 360 cases of emergency CT examination from January 1988 to October 1988, leads to following conclusions£»
1. CT examination is very helpful for the diagnosis and treatment in emergency patient.
2. Part of emergency CT examination is almost brain CT (92£¥)
3. Most frequent cause of emergency CT examination was traffic accident(36£¥)
4. CT findings are hemorrhagic condition is 39£¥ and normal finding 32£¥. infarction 15£¥ other 14£¥.
5. Time interval between arriving emergency room and CT study are after 2 hours 46.4£¥, 1~2hours 29.4£¥ and within 30minutes 10£¥.
6. Referred department are almost Neurosurgical department 51.4£¥. and Neurological department 36.4£¥
7. Treatment after emergency CT examination are conservative Tx 38£¥, self discharge 29£¥, emergency operation 19£¥
